How to apply
Create an account on the official portal visas.immigration.go.ug, select "Tourist Visa," fill in your details, upload the required documents, pay online by card, then receive the approval letter by email. Print it: the visa is stamped on arrival at Entebbe airport.

Good to know
- •Visa on arrival has been phased out: the e-visa must be obtained BEFORE departure.
- •Use only the official .go.ug portal; third-party sites add service fees.
- •The East Africa Tourist Visa (USD 100) is only worthwhile if combining Uganda + Kenya + Rwanda.
- •The yellow fever certificate must date from at least 10 days before arrival.

Round-trip flight from Douala / Yaoundé
360 000 FCFA–660 000 FCFANo direct flights from Cameroon. Expect 8 to 14h total with one stopover, generally via Addis Ababa (Ethiopian Airlines), Nairobi (Kenya Airways) or Kigali (RwandAir). Arrival at Entebbe airport, about 40 km from Kampala.

What to do there
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi
Hike through the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest to spend an hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family; the park shelters nearly half the world's mountain gorillas.
White Nile rafting in Jinja
Raft Grade 1 to 5 rapids over 18 km of the Nile (beginner-friendly) at the very spot where the world's longest river begins.
Exploring Kampala
Uganda's lively capital, with its markets, the Kasubi Tombs, the Gaddafi National Mosque and a buzzing nightlife.
Safari at Murchison Falls
