Tuvalu
Visa on arrival to one of the least-visited nations on Earth.
With barely a few thousand visitors a year, Tuvalu is one of the most rarely visited countries on the planet. This archipelago of nine coral atolls, lost in the South Pacific and threatened by rising seas, comes down for the traveller to Funafuti: a turquoise lagoon, a runway that doubles as an evening playground, and a rare, genuine welcome. The Cameroonian passport gets a visa on arrival for one month.
The visa, step by step

Good to know
- •Cameroon is not exempt: budget the 100 AUD to pay on arrival.
- •Only one international airport (Funafuti, FUN), served solely by Fiji Airways from Nadi, 2 flights/week.
- •Very limited logistics: book accommodation ahead and plan your stay around the flight days.
A one-week budget
Round-trip flight from Douala / Yaoundé
1 560 000 FCFA–2 520 000 FCFANo direct flights. From Douala/Yaoundé, 2-3 stops (typically via a Gulf hub then Australia/Nadi), and finally Fiji Airways Nadi–Funafuti (only 2 flights/week). Very long journey, dependent on rare connections.
Indicative round-trip price: it varies widely by season, layover and how early you book.
