Serbia
Affordable, lively Europe: Belgrade nightlife, monasteries and mountains.
Serbia offers an authentic, cheap Europe: Belgrade and its Danube nightlife, Novi Sad and its fortress, medieval Orthodox monasteries and the western mountains (Tara, Drvengrad, the Šargan Eight railway). It's one of the cheapest European destinations. On paperwork, be realistic: Cameroonians need a consular C visa (€90) to apply for BEFORE departure; there is no Serbian embassy in Cameroon (the nearest is in Kinshasa), and the announced e-visa system is not yet operational for Cameroon. Plan ahead.
