Oman
Authentic Arabia: turquoise wadis, golden dunes, forts and fjords — easy e-visa.
Quieter and more authentic than its Gulf neighbours, Oman wins you over with spectacular nature and an easy way of life. You string together the majestic Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Muscat, the turquoise pools of the wadis, the Wahiba dunes for a night under the stars, the forts and souks of Nizwa, and the Musandam fjords nicknamed the 'Norway of Arabia'. The e-visa is obtained online in a few days through the Royal Oman Police, and safety is exemplary — an ideal Middle East destination in winter.
