Nicaragua
Volcanoes, lakes and colonial towns: the cheapest Central America.
Nicaragua is authentic, affordable Central America: colonial Granada on the lakeshore, volcanoes you climb (or board down), the twin-volcano island of Ometepe and the Caribbean Corn Islands. Since 2026 the country has digitised its entry system: Cameroonians fall under the 'consulted visa' (Category C), to apply for and have approved ONLINE before departure — allow around 30 days. Once you have that green light, it remains one of the cheapest trips on the continent.
The visa, step by step
