Netherlands
Canals, bikes and tulips in the land of the Dutch Masters
The Netherlands charms with its relaxed elegance: canals lined with narrow houses, world-class museums, tulip fields in spring and a cycling culture unlike anywhere else. For a Cameroonian traveller, it is a perfect introduction to Europe: compact, easy to get around, English-speaking and brimming with art and design. Amsterdam blends Golden Age heritage with creative energy, while cities like Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague offer other sides. As a Schengen member, the country requires a visa that Cameroonians must obtain in advance, but the warm welcome and impeccable organisation make the trip very enjoyable.
