Micronesia
Visa-free for 30 days: Truk wrecks, Nan Madol ruins, manta rays.
The Federated States of Micronesia line up four very different islands — Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Kosrae — in the heart of the Pacific. Good news for the Cameroonian passport: no visa is required for a tourist stay of 30 days or less. The bad news: it's one of the longest and most expensive places to reach, with no direct flights at all. For those who make the effort, it's wreck diving in Truk Lagoon, the mysterious ruins of Nan Madol and the stone money of Yap.
The visa, step by step

Good to know

- •No direct flights: you must transit via Guam (United flights, including the famous 'Island Hopper').
A one-week budget
Round-trip flight from Douala / Yaoundé
1 440 000 FCFA–2 280 000 FCFANo direct flights. Expect 2-3 stops from Douala/Yaoundé (often via a Gulf hub or Addis Ababa, then Manila/Tokyo, and finally Guam where United's 'Island Hopper' continues to Pohnpei/Chuuk). Very long journey (~40-50h door to door).
Indicative round-trip price: it varies widely by season, layover and how early you book.
