Luxembourg
Cliff-top fortress at Europe's heart
Tiny but mighty, Luxembourg is a trilingual grand duchy nestled between France, Belgium and Germany. For a French-speaking Cameroonian traveler, it's linguistically familiar terrain, with a spectacular capital perched on cliffs and crossed by green gorges. Wealthy, clean and surprisingly green, the country can be covered in a few days: UNESCO-listed casemates, fairytale castles in the Ardennes, Moselle vineyards and stone villages. It's a refined, compact European stop, perfect for a short trip blending heritage, gastronomy and nature, a stone's throw from the major neighboring capitals.
