Laos
Golden temples, the Mekong and easy living
A small landlocked Southeast Asian country, Laos charms with its slow pace, Buddhist temples and landscapes of rice paddies and mountains along the Mekong. For a Cameroonian, it is a peaceful, affordable destination far from the crowds: Luang Prabang, the monks' morning alms, turquoise waterfalls and the human-scale capital Vientiane. The eVisa is simple to obtain before departure.
