Finland
The land of a thousand lakes, saunas and auroras
Finland is the great calm of the North: forests as far as the eye can see, thousands of lakes, a sauna in every home and, further north, the auroras and Santa's homeland. Helsinki, the capital, blends clean design, elegant architecture and a lively Baltic seafront. For a Cameroonian traveller, the change of scene is total: pristine nature, a serene society regularly ranked the happiest in the world, and a magical winter or an endless-night summer. A few days are enough to soak up this very particular Nordic way of life.
