Cyprus
Eastern Mediterranean island, sun year-round
Cyprus blends golden beaches, ancient ruins and Europe's last divided capital. The island of the goddess Aphrodite enjoys over 300 days of sun a year. An EU member but not yet in the Schengen area in 2026, it issues its own national visa to Cameroonian passport holders, more accessible than a full Schengen visa.

How to apply
As Cyprus is not yet in Schengen in 2026, Cameroonian passport holders need a Cypriot national visa from the competent embassy or consulate (often via a regional mission). A valid multiple-entry Schengen visa also allows entry.
Required documents
- Passport valid 3 months beyond planned departure
- Cypriot visa application form
- Passport photos and round-trip flight booking
- Hotel reservation and proof of funds
- Travel insurance covering the stay
Good to know
- •Cyprus is not yet in Schengen (entry targeted for late 2026): this is a separate national visa.
- •A valid Schengen visa or residence permit is generally accepted for entry.
- •Yellow fever vaccine required when departing Cameroon.
